When a system is in the design process, the designer should consider the following set of guidelines for system wiring:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnconline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Noise.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pnconline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Noise.jpg\" alt=\"Noise\" width=\"171\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Put surge suppression components on all electrical coils: Resistor\/capacitor filters, MOVs, Zener and clamping diodes.<br \/>\nShield all remote connections, use twisted pairs. Shields should be tied to Earth at one end.<br \/>\nPut all microelectronic components in an enclosure. Keep noisy devices outside. Watch internal temperature.<br \/>\nGround signal common wiring at one point. Float this ground from Earth if possible.<br \/>\nTie all mechanical grounds to Earth at one point. Run chassis and motor grounds to the frame, and the frame to Earth.<br \/>\nIsolate remote signals. Solid state relays or opto isolators are recommended.<br \/>\nFilter the power line. Use common RF filters, and use an isolation transformer for worst case.<br \/>\nFilter the lines between the drive output and the motor.<\/p>\n<p>A noise problem must be identified before it can be solved.
